Police ask public’s help to identify robbery suspect
Shreveport Police are seeking to identify a man believed responsible for the armed robbery of a west Shreveport hotel yesterday afternoon.
On August 2, 2018, just after 3:00 p.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to the 5100 block of Monkhouse Drive at Siegel Suites on reports of an armed robbery that just occurred. Arriving officers learned that a male entered the business armed with a handgun and demanded money from the front desk clerk. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot toward the Waffle House Restaurant. Police searched for the suspect for nearly an hour but were unable to locate him.
Investigators with the Tactical Robbery Unit responded to the scene and were able to collect video evidence from the business. They are releasing photos extracted from that video in hopes of getting the suspect identified.
