Detectives are working to identify and apprehend a suspect responsible for robbing a business at gun point in north Shreveport earlier this evening.
At approximately 6:15 p.m. on February 15, 2016, Shreveport Police Patrol officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Boost Mobile Store in the 1800 block of North Market Street. Upon arrival, patrolmen learned a male suspect wearing a clothe covering his face, allegedly robbed the store with a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The employees were not injured during the robbery.
Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department’s Tactical Robbery Unit along with crime scene personnel arrived on scene and launched their inquiry into the robbery. At this time, authorities are working to recover surveillance footage in efforts to identity and apprehend the perpetrator responsible for this crime.
