18-061067 6956 Jewella Avenue

On April 15, 2018 just before 4:45 am, Shreveport Police received reports that several people were shot at Trendsetters Tattoo Studio the 6900 block of Jewella Avenue. Upon arrival officers located 5 people suffering from gunshot wounds. All were transported to University Health Hospital suffering from varying degrees of injuries but all were described as non-life-threatening. Those injured were identified as 17-year-old Kevin Washington, 17-year-old De’Anthony Johnson, 21-year-old Lakyra Bonkin, 22-year-old Chantrevious Boykin, and a juvenile.

Officers secured area and were in the process of getting investigators to the scene when they were informed of a 6th victim arriving at Willis Knighton North. That victim, 18-year-old Avontae Guiden, was suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot injury as well.

Violent Crimes and Crime Scene investigators responded to the scene and began collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses. Investigators believe that the suspects arrived in front of the business in a dark colored four door pickup truck. Shots were fired from the driver’s side rear window and from the bed of the pickup. Video evidence was collected and has been made available to the public. Business burglary captured on video

On March 31, 2018 just before 4:40 am, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to an alarm call at 7030 Youree Drive at 5 Star Nutrition. Officers arrived on scene to find the front glass of the business shattered and items missing from within the business.

Investigators with the Property Crimes Unit were assigned to the case and recovered video surveillance footage of the burglary. The video shows two masked men dressed in dark colored clothing forcibly enter the business. It appears that they brought their own boxes and placed items in those boxes and fled the scene on foot.

Shreveport Police ask public’s help to identify burglars

On April 4, 2018 Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to the 8100 block of Best Drive on reports of a vehicle burglary. Officers learned that two vehicles had been plundered through just after 5:00 am. The homeowners advised officers that their home surveillance system captured the suspects on video.

Investigators with the Property Crimes Unit were assigned to the case and recovered the video. They are asking the public’s help to identify these two alleged thieves. Car burglar caught on camera

On March 21, 2018 just after 11:00 am Shreveport Police Patrol Officers responded to 5101 Monkhouse to the Baymont Inn on reports of a vehicle burglary that just occurred. Officers were unable to capture the suspect at that time but learned that the hotel was equipped with video surveillance equipment.

Investigators with the Property Crimes Unit were assigned to the case and recovered the video evidence which showed what appeared to be a white male suspect enter into camera view and pull on the driver’s door handle of a small black car. The car was locked so the male went to the passenger’s side door and busted the door glass, gained entry into the vehicle, then took undisclosed items from within.

Homicide Investigation 2018

SPD is investigating a homicide and need your help identifying the man in the video wearing the long sleeved demon shirt. The homicide occurred on March 29, 2018 in the 700 block of Techumseh Trail in Shreveport’s Cherokee Park neighborhood. Police would like to speak with the man relative to the investigation. Police seek to identify shoplifters

Shreveport Police are asking the public’s help to identify a pair of alleged thieves following a January shoplifting at a local drug store.

On January 4, 2018, two individuals entered the Drug Emporium Drug Store in the 5800 block of East Kings Highway and took more than $100.00 in merchandise. The suspects can be seen on video lingering in the isles and putting items into a large bag. The duo then exits the business without paying for the merchandise.

Moneybag thieves captured on camera

Shreveport Police are asking the public’s help to identify a duo of sticky fingered bandits following a theft at a local antique store last week.

On March 7, 2018 just before 5:00 pm, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to the 700 block of Gladstone on reports of a theft. Officers arrived and made contact with employees and learned that two women entered the business just before closing and as one distracted the employees, the other took a moneybag from the counter. The entire incident was captured on video.

Investigators assigned to the case have made the video available to the public in hopes of getting the duo identified. Police search for suspects accused of burglarizing automotive repair shop

Shreveport Police Property Crimes Detectives are on the hunt for suspects accused of burglarizing a west Shreveport business.

On February 21, 2018 Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to the 5600 block of Mansfield Road to Lee’s Transmission Shop on reports of a burglary. During their preliminary investigation, officers learned that at least two of the suspects had been captured on video breaking the window of the business in an apparent attempt to gain entry into the business.

Detectives assigned to the case were able to collect the video and are making the video public in hopes that someone can help identify these individuals.

Juliannes Restaurant 825 Kings Highway 18-031542

Police ask for help to identify bakery burglar

On February 25, 2018, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to reports of a burglary of Julianne’s Restaurant located at 825 Kings Highway. Officers processed the scene for evidence and learned that the restaurant had video. The video showed a subject armed with some type of tool approach the east door of the business, bust the door glass, and enter into the restaurant. The subject went directly to a cash drawer and removed an undisclosed amount of money. Upon entry and exit, the suspect was careful to stay mostly out of view of the cameras. They were described as wearing a mask, gloves, a puffy blue jacket, and blue jeans. The suspect fled in a gray Chevrolet four door truck.

Detectives with the Property Crimes Unit were assigned to follow up on the burglary and secured a copy of the video, which they have released, to the public with hopes of identifying the suspect. Detectives believe the suspect was very familiar with the restaurant.

Vehicle burglars sought by police

On January 28, 2018, just after 7:30 pm Shreveport Police responded to the 1600 block of Dilg League on reports of a vehicle burglary that just occurred. Officers were unable to locate the suspects but were provided cell phone video of the incident.

Investigators assigned to the case have released the video to the public in hopes of getting the public’s help to identify these individuals. The video shows the suspect exit a vehicle and attempt to gain entry into the victim’s vehicle. The suspect vehicle slowly backs toward the suspect so that he can quickly escape. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a brown four-door sedan.
