18-081273 WoodlawnTerrace

Police seek to identify home burglar

On May 18, 2018, just after 6:00 p.m., a resident of Woodlawn Terrace Apartment Complex reported their apartment burglarized and a flat screen television and cash taken from within.

Investigators with the Property Crime Unit were assigned to the case and were able to secure video surveillance footage of the suspect leaving the apartment carrying the victim’s television.
Investigators have released the footage in hopes of getting him identified.

18-091114 Home Depot Theft

Band of thieves strikes local home improvement center

On May 30, 2018, the Home Depot Store in the 100 block of East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop reported a theft of nearly $2,000.00 worth of merchandise from their store. A trio of alleged suspects was captured on video and investigators are releasing the footage in hopes of getting them identified. The first suspect was described as a black male wearing a black shirt and blue jeans with a black baseball cap. This man is believed to have served as the “lookout.” The second suspect was wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans and was pulling a shopping cart filled with items. The third suspect was a female wearing a red shirt, dark colored shorts, and a baseball cap. She was also pulling a cart full of items. All three suspects fled the store in at least two separate vehicles.

Investigators are asking the public’s help to identify these individuals. 18-087698 Wal Mart 1600 East Bert Kouns Purse Theft

On May 29, 2018, a female victim was shopping at the WalMart Supercenter in the 1600 block of East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. She left her purse briefly and it was stolen from her shopping cart.

Investigators assigned to the case were able to locate video footage of the crime as it occurred and are releasing video of the alleged suspect exiting the store with the victim’s purse in hand. The suspect is believed to be a black female wearing a blue shirt and black pants with a black hair cover.

6200 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop 18-083945

Police ask public’s help to identify alleged thieves

On May 23, 2018, two unknown individuals entered the maintenance shop at Forest Mobile Homes in the 6200 block of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. The two people, believed to be white males, took a utility trailer and attempted to take a tractor, but were unable to load it onto the trailer. They abandoned their efforts with the tractor but got away with the trailer.

Investigators are releasing video of the crime in hopes of getting the people responsible for this crime identified and arrested. In the early morning hours of July 3, 2018 vehicles were burglarized along the 100 block of Charles Avenue. Home surveillance cameras captured video of one of the suspects entering a car in the block. The suspect is seen entering and exiting one vehicle and attempting to gain entry into a second.

18-110151 Vehicle Burglary 6100 Lovers Lane

Police seek identity of car burglars

During the early morning hours of July 3, 2018, there were multiple vehicle burglaries in and around the 6100 block of Lovers Lane. Home video surveillance footage shows two subjects pulling on the handles of two separate vehicles in an apparent attempt to gain entry. Although they were unable to gain access to these vehicles, several others were accessed and property taken from within. A small two-door car, whose headlights are off, appears to follow along with the suspects as they move through the block.

300 block of Utah Circle Vehicle Burglary 18-094987

Vehicle burglars captured on camera

On June 10, 2018, two unknown males burglarized a vehicle in the 300 block of Utah Circle. The burglary was captured on home surveillance video. The video shows two males enter the vehicle and take undisclosed items from within. Both suspects fled on foot away from the residence.

John Plott Construction 3900 W 70th Street 18-087428

Police ask public’s help to identify truck thieves

On May 29, 2018, multiple vehicles were burglarized and one truck was stolen from John Plott Construction Company in the 3900 block of West 70th Street. The burglaries were captured on video prior to the suspects cutting power to the business. The suspects took a four door white Chevrolet work truck from the business that was later recovered in the 4100 block of Via Street in the Mooretown neighborhood.

18 086958 4400 Finley Drive Rim Theft

Police seek to identify rim thief

On May 28, 2018, a 2017 Chevrolet Pickup was stripped of its tires and rims in the 4400 block of Finley Drive. Investigators located video evidence of the theft, which shows an unknown individual walk back and forth to the residence multiple times carrying what was believed to be a jack and blocks. A subject in a black sedan pulled up to the residence and loaded items into the car then drove away.
