Police ask for help to identify bakery burglar
On February 25, 2018, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to reports of a burglary of Julianne’s Restaurant located at 825 Kings Highway. Officers processed the scene for evidence and learned that the restaurant had video. The video showed a subject armed with some type of tool approach the east door of the business, bust the door glass, and enter into the restaurant. The subject went directly to a cash drawer and removed an undisclosed amount of money. Upon entry and exit, the suspect was careful to stay mostly out of view of the cameras. They were described as wearing a mask, gloves, a puffy blue jacket, and blue jeans. The suspect fled in a gray Chevrolet four door truck.
Detectives with the Property Crimes Unit were assigned to follow up on the burglary and secured a copy of the video, which they have released, to the public with hopes of identifying the suspect. Detectives believe the suspect was very familiar with the restaurant.
